My name is Brooke, and I love all things lovely.
Since a young age, I have had a passionate love affair with words. Anyone who knows me could attest to the fact that there is no such thing as a quick story, if I am the one telling it. I've always loved the way a skillfully-crafted sentence can paint the perfect picture. With the right combination of adjectives and emphasis, you can take a person anywhere you want them to go. Knowing the power our words possess, I've always felt it was my responsibility to never just tell people what happened. I want to TAKE you there.
There is one word in particular that has always been an important one to me..... lovely. For most, this word summons visions of gentility and grace. Something can be pretty, but that speaks only to the surface. When something is lovely, it transcends physical beauty and speaks more to your soul than to your eyes. That is what we should strive for. Not to be just pretty, but to be lovely. On this blog, I hope to showcase things that I consider to be lovely, and I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for reading!
